Update on my last post: I found your presentation from that session online (thanks to you again) so I see how to map my custom components for Flex Builder 2, but this config file is not there in Flex Builder 3, at least not at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 2\plugins\com.adobe.flexbuilder.editors.mxml_2.0.155577\config

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'll also try contacting you through our Adobe tech support representative.

Hi David,
I have a problem/question for you that you answered at 360Flex in San Jose back in 2007 but I lost my notes!

I have many custom components that I need to have Flex Builder Design View visually represent so my developers can drag n drop the components in Design View. Problem is, many of my custom components don't show up in FB 2 or FB 3 Design View!

For example, my GroupBox component that extends the mx:Canvas component, adding additional functionality and allows developers to throw other components within it. For example:

I have other components that simply extend mx components but the Properties that are specific to the custom component do show up in the Flex Properties panel (for example, my customComboBox extends mx:ComboBox.)

I remember you said there were config files or "templates"(?) that represented what properties were to be displayed and how the component is rendered by Design View, and I could copy the mx component "template", rename it, and add my properties to show in the Properties view.

I have googled and asked Adobe tech support about this and no one seems to know! Can you please help?

thanx in advance for your time!

Hey great work on FB3. I had a feature I would like to see implemented in FB4 or something for the update. I posted it on my blog.

Basically I was wondering if source referenced from outside your project file structure could inherit the cvs properties from the CVS directory in the file structure. This is particularly crucial in a library project where it treats all the CVS directories as source. So you have to go through your file structure and deselect all the CVS directories.

Got to agree with Dan.
Any chances that there will be an update before FB4?
